The Beginning Band meets all year and is for 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade students. This class is for students with very little or NO musical experience. Instruments taught include FLUTE, CLARINET, SAXOPHONE, TRUMPET, TROMBONE, BARITONE, MALLETS, and DRUMS. Instruments are available from the school.
The Advanced Band meets all year and is for 7th and 8th-grade students who have had at least one year of instruction on their instrument and can read music. Students should be able to play the Bb, Eb, F, and chromatic scales. Incoming students must audition with Mrs. Pool.
Exploration 1 and 2 are semester classes that explore music theory, composition, digital music, and the Physics of Sound. These classes are taught through the STEAM lens.
